1、農曆七月是鬼月，有許多禁忌。

中西曆法的文化背景不同，亞洲國家多採陰曆(以月亮的圓缺為基準)，所以農曆的某個月份不能直接套用西方的月份，例如農曆七月直接寫成「the luncar June」，而是要用「序數」，農曆七月是指農曆的第七個月份，因此宜翻成「The seventh June」

中翻英看到「有」時，不要直覺翻譯成have。有生命的東西才能擁有任何事用，在英語概念中，農曆七月是一中性名詞，不是活的生物，宜考慮用come with.

do not+V是「當面告誡」的祈使句，語氣強烈，文中是建議大眾不要從事一些禁忌行為(如文中的游泳及外出)，不是針對某人(若是針對某人的話就是當面告誡)。

2.句子是建議不要從事上述行為(打消念頭)，並無強迫之意，所以「不要」可用discourage，語氣較緩和。

3. go outdoors意指從事戶外活動

1.開刀是個過程，正式寫作應該用動詞undergo來表示，應寫成undergo surgery. 但是如果是外科醫師開刀的話，則應用operate.
例如: I operated on a patient today.

2.另類寫法: Do not go under the knife unless otherwise required.

3.除非是整型手術，否則應事關人命所有的手術都是必要的，即使是鬼月，因此範例句會加上一副詞absolutely(一定)。

4.正式寫作時，最好避免將And置於句首。為什麼呢?
